From The Sky: A Zeppelinesque Rock Trio with a Modern Twist
After years of touring and writing for his rock band Bonafide, Pontus Snibb felt the pull to get back behind the drums—this time in a BIG way. Not just content with drumming, he decided to add singing to the mix. To bring this vision to life, he enlisted longtime friends Sampo Axelsson and Staffan Österlind, with whom he’d played for over two decades, including in their “Tribute To Led Zeppelin” band.
When Snibb proposed forming a power trio inspired by the iconic 70s rock sound, the response was a resounding “Hell Yeah!” The chemistry was immediate, and they quickly began writing songs full of joy, musicality, and a fresh, playful energy they hadn’t explored before.
The result is From The Sky, a band that blends classic Zeppelinesque rock with a modern twist. Their debut album is set to release in January 2021, marking the start of an exciting new chapter in their musical journey.
