Sherlock Brothers: Sweden's Post-Grunge Rock Sensation
Sherlock Brothers, an alternative rock band with post-grunge influences, emerged from Enköping, Sweden, in 2004. Known for their dynamic sound and compelling performances, they quickly gained traction in the Swedish music scene. Their self-produced debut album dropped in 2009, featuring the hit single Sleeping Silence, which received radio play across Sweden. In 2010, they signed with Ninetone Records, releasing Stay, a track that resonated with listeners on Bandit Rock. February 2011 saw the release of Where Is Nowhere, followed by their debut album Black Cat Tango.
Their breakthrough was solidified when they won Bandit Rock's Årets svenska genombrott award in 2011. The band comprises André Andersson (vocals), Marcus Hellgren (guitar), Alexander Nordqvist (guitar), Johan Andersson (bass), and Andreas Lindqvist (drums). With a discography that includes singles like Why, Sherlock Brothers continue to captivate audiences with their robust post-grunge sound.
