Stefan Hallgren - Manager and Media Producer

Stefan Hallgren, born on May 23, 1968, in Sveg, Sweden, is a notable Swedish manager and media producer with a diverse portfolio in TV, film, and social media. He is the son of Åke Hallgren, a musician and composer renowned for writing the hit song Gråt inga tårar, famously performed by Thorleifs in the 1970s.

Career Journey
Hallgren's career in the entertainment industry began as a full-time touring musician from 1987 to 1993, performing alongside his childhood friend and pianist, Torgny Kingen Karlsson. However, his musical career took an unexpected turn in 1993 when he developed tinnitus. This challenge led Hallgren to pivot his career towards digital media.

He retrained as a web producer and spearheaded the digital launch of Östersundsposten, marking it as Sweden's first local newspaper on the Internet in the mid-1990s. In 1998, Hallgren moved to Stockholm to work as a product manager at the IT company Icon Medialab.

Entrepreneurial Ventures
Between 2003 and 2006, Hallgren privately operated Storsjöteatern in Östersund, eventually selling the business. From 2006 to 2013, he ran the sound studio and media company Happy Minds, producing audio and voice acting for video games like Bamse, Kalle Kunskap, and Mumintrollen. Additionally, he managed the music publishing and record label Black Cat Songs, which released titles including Ride With Me by Torgny Kingen Karlsson.

Film and Media Production
In 2013, Hallgren produced the mockumentary film När Rocken kom till Sveg for SVT, collaborating with his partner Sol Vikström, who served as the photographer and director. The project extended to a book and a CD, the latter in collaboration with Torgny Kingen Karlsson.

Social Media and YouTube Ventures
In 2016, Hallgren co-founded a YouTube network and management for high-profile social media personalities with Patrik Frisk at Ninetone Group AB. One of the company's most renowned clients is Joakim Lundell, with whom Hallgren has worked since 2016. His collaborative works with Lundell include co-directing music videos like My Addiction and Monster, serving as the executive producer for Lundell's YouTube series Splash and Puppetmaster, and producing the first season of Lundellhuset on the streaming platform Discovery+.

Recent Achievements
In 2022, Hallgren was the Associate Producer for the feature film FEED, which won the Audience Award at the Guldbagge Awards in February 2023.

Stefan Hallgren's transition from a touring musician to a versatile manager and media producer showcases his adaptability and influence across various aspects of the entertainment industry. His expertise in managing digital platforms and producing compelling content makes him a pivotal figure in modern media production.
